Extensions
Extensions add capabilities to Layers without adding weight to it. Each one runs in its own process, ships signed and notarized, and gets only the access it declares — which Layers shows you before anything runs.

Installing
Open the Extensions window in Layers and pick Browse. Everything on this page is in that list, and installing from there is the only path that checks the catalogue signature.
